Help Prevent Unintentional Drownings

Life Jacket Loaner

The Derry Fire Department and Parkland Medical Center have created a life jacket loaner program for community members and their guests to enjoy safe swimming, boating, or other water-related activities.   Through the loaner program, life jackets available in infant, child, and adult sizes can be loaned out for a day and up to one week at no charge.

Remember: Unlike clothes, children don’t grow into life jackets and a properly fitting life jacket can make the difference between life and death in the water.  If you would like to borrow a jacket, simply go to the website: https://derryfire.com/lifejacket-form Print and fill out the form and stop by one of the locations listed below. You can also call ahead at 603.432.6121 to make sure members are at the Station and to confirm your needed size Life Jacket is available. We ask you to fill out the form ahead of time to minimize yours and our interaction exposure. To keep everyone as safe as possible, we are also deep cleaning and disinfecting each Life Jacket upon its return.

Chances are that spending a few extra minutes visiting one of our fire stations will ensure that you and your family will have a safe and joyful water experience this summer season.
