Opioid Emergency

The Derry Fire Department is actively engaged with a coalition of local professionals concerned about the opioid crisis in Derry.  We are committed to assisting our residents with planning how to address this evolving threat;  working with substance abuse professionals on preventing overdoses and fatalities due to overdoses, while improving the communities ability to respond emergently to opioid overdoses.

The Derry Fire Department remains committed to working closely with our community partners to combat this opioid crisis.

The Derry Fire Department offers at no cost to residents, American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED training and training on Narcan administration the third Wednesday evening of each month from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at 74 Hampstead Road, Derry Fire Station 4. While supplies last - we will have grant funded Narcan kits available to those residents who desire one and who register in advance for this training. To register, please call (603)-845-5438 between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm or leave a voice message after hours, and someone will call you back to confirm.
