Station 4

The Derry Fire Department’s Station 4, is located at 74 Hampstead Road between Young and Old Chester Roads on 0.7 acre. The Station 4 coverage area is in the heart of the Town of Derry. The station provides first due response to its own district as well as second due to all other town fire districts. Station 4 was built in 1974 to meet the needs of the citizens in the East Derry. The station was renamed Station 4 in 2006 after the consolidation of the two departments.

Station 4 is cross-staffed with a crew of three, providing fire and emergency medical services at the paramedic level 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The crew operates Ladder 4, Medic 4, Rescue 4 and Marine 4.

In addition to emergencies, Station 4 personnel regularly inspect local businesses, issue and enforce burning permits, and provide station tours upon request.
