April 2018: Construction will resume this week on the Brady Ave. water and sewer utility project. During this phase of the joint project between the Derry DPW and Pennichuck Water Works (PWW), American Excavating Corp. will construct approximately 1,700 feet of sewer main beginning at house # 25/26 Brady Ave. and continuing to house # 53 Brady Ave. This work includes sewer service connections to the property lines. Base coat paving in this area will be completed later this year.
Blasting for ledge will begin in the next week or two. Residents who will be impacted will be contacted by the blasting company to conduct a pre-blast survey of their property. Permits for this work have been issued by the Derry Fire Dept. Temporary water line above ground will also be installed in this next phase to maintain water service to PWW’s customers while the new water and sewer pipes are being installed. PWW is coordinating this work.
Every effort will be made to maintain the road in decent passable condition but there will be inconveniences to the residents. The Town will have inspectors on site and residents are encouraged to reach out to them (white hats) or to contact our office with any problems, concerns or questions.
Please know that the Town will make every effort to minimize the disruption to the residents and address issues and answer questions in an expedient manner. Your patience and understanding over the coming months will be most appreciated.
As always, please feel free to contact our office at 603-432-6144 with any questions or concerns you may have.
Questions regarding water services should be directed to Pennichuck Water Works at 603-882-5191.
