Captain Bruno Soucy retired July 1, 2021.

Captain Soucy started his fire service career with the Canadian Military in 1988; for two years prior, he served as an Infantry Officer. In 1995, after retirement from the Canadian Military, he began his career with the Derry Fire Department. He is an active member of the Health and Safety Committee and has been since its inception. Captain Soucy oversees the Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Program for the department, having served as an SCBA service technician since 1999. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2002 and to Captain in 2005.

Captain Soucy is an Advanced EMT, Certified Fire Officer, Hazardous Materials Technician, NFPA Certified Airport Firefighter, NFPA Certified Fire Inspector, Incident Safety Officer, Rescue Systems 1 & 2 Technician; and holds several other technical rescue certifications.
