We recognize the role the Derry Parks & Recreation Department plays in the Greater Derry area and we take that responsibility seriously. We can ensure you that your safety – and the safety of every participant and spectator– is our number one priority. The following is information about updates, openings, cancellations and postponements that have been made at this time. The department will continue to be available to answer resident questions. Recent updates on closures:
Community Updates:
  • Marion Gerrish Community Center is open for scheduled groups, the thrift shop is open 9am - 4pm. For more info on hours click here!
  • Derry Public Library is now open by appointment and for curbside pickup. You can reach them by phone at 432-6140, 9:30-5 Monday-Saturday.
  • Curbside Pickup available Monday-Saturday between 10-4 and Wednesday evenings 5-7 For more info click here!
  • Taylor Public Library will be open by appointment only. For more info click here!

Leagues and Camps, please call the recreation office at (603) 432-6136 for assistance and guidance for scheduling your future programming/field requests 

Adult programs:
  • Outdoor walking and conservation trails are open. Click here for the Derry Rail Trail and Conservation lands in Derry.
  • Indoor walking for wellness Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 11:30am- 1:30pm - Tuesday and Thursday 9:30am- 11:00am in Veterans Hall, 31 West Broadway (FREE)
  • Zumba Gold, Tuesdays at 12PM in Veterans Hall, 31 West Broadway (FREE)
  • Line Dancing, Wednesdays & Fridays 10:00am- 11:00am in Veterans Hall, 31 West Broadway ($3.00- residents & $5.00- non residents)
  • Active Agers, Thursdays at 11:00am ($5.00 per class)
  • Power Hour Bootcamp Bonanza, Thursdays at 12:00pm in Veterans Hall, 31 West Broadway ($5.00 per class)

Special Olympics New Hampshire suspended until further notice https://www.sonh.org/ We encourage athletes and families to follow the SONH Facebook page for collaborative virtual programming.
