The Derry Recreation Timberwolves currently consists of approximately 40 Special Olympics athletes ranging in age from 18 to 60+ years. Our athletes train throughout the year in various sports including basketball, bowling, golf, and track and field. Various state and regional competitions are held throughout the state of New Hampshire including State Summer Games at UNH and the State Basketball Tournament in Derry.

Practices are generally held on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday afternoons at various sites including Veterans Hall gymnasium, Gallien's Town Beach, Hoodkroft, Alexander Carr Park, and the SNHU aquatics center.

The Timberwolves rely heavily on generous benfactors and fundraising to help raise money needed for uniforms, equipment, meals, lodging, and other opportunities. One of the largest fundraisers for the Timberwolves is the Penguin Plunge in February. Thank you to all who help make these opportunities a reality!
