Free Tax Prep

Free tax preparation assistance is available to low and middle-income individuals with special attention to those 60 and older earning under $100K.
This service is available until February- April 14th on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 10:00am-3:00pm at the Marion Gerrish Community Center. 
No appointment is necessary. New this year, small home based businesses are welcome! To confirm information please call the MGCC at (603) 434-8866

Free Afternoon Movie

The last Friday of every month at 12:00 p.m. The Meals on Wheels program located at the Marion Gerrish Community Center hosts a free movie for Seniors Citizens. Monlthly movie listings can be found in the Monthly Newsletter provided by the Derry Parks & Recretaion Department

Everyone should have the opportunity to hear the world around them. Find out what you’ve been missing! Screenings begin at 11:30am at the Derry Parks and Recreation Department on the First Wednesday of Every month. Call to book your appointment for free. * Please note the location for this program changed as of September 2018 and now takes place at 31 West Broadway, Derry, NH 03038

 

Monthly Balance Challenge

Are falls avoidable and preventable? YES, many are! Join us for a Balance Challenge and to discuss ways to improve your balance, keep your home safe, and to asses you or your loved ones falls risk. For more information on Falls Prevention please call the Derry Parks & Recreation department at (603) 432-6136. Literature on how to prevent falls is also available in the office.

 

NHASC

The Derry Parks & Recreation Department has held an active membership and place on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Association of Senior Centers since 2014. While Derry does not have a specific Senior Center, much effort is made to coordinate and provide services throughout the Greater Derry Community.
