2017 Adult Tennis League
The league, led by Charlie Zoeller, will meet on Wednesday evenings 6PM - 9PM at Alexander-Carr Tennis courts located on Birch St in Derry.  For more information please contact 603-432-6136.

Derry Garden Club Plant Sale
The Derry Garden Club will be hosting its annual plant sale at the Masonic Temple, 58 East Broadway (next to the Derry Public Library) Saturday June 3, 2017 9AM - 2PM 
Senior Golf League
Hoodkroft Country Club offers a senior gold league?  The Women's Senior League meets on Tuesday mornings and the Men's Senior League meets on Wednesdays! For more information please call (603)434-0651
Annual Veterans Cookout
June 1st at 5PM, this FREE event is open to Derry Area Veterans and guests hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Derry.  This event will be held at the Derry Boys & Girls Club, 40 East Derry Rd.  Please RSVP by May 29th @ 603-432-3357 or email:
Kayak Lessons
The Recreation Deparmtnet will be offering 5 session of kayaking lessons at Galliens Town Beach during the summer.  Each session consists of tow 60 minute classes.  space is limited all participants must pre-register.  For more information contact Derry Recreation  603-432-6136.
Summer Beach Pass
Beginning Monday, May 1st all Derry Resident Seniors age 50+ will be able to sign up for their Free Galliens Town Beach summer beach pass!  For more information or to register for your FREE beach pass stop in to the Recreation Office at 31 West Broadway.  Proof of age and residency is required.
Revived Cruise Night
Sunday, June 11th from 4PM - 7PM.  This free event is held at 2 Island Pond Road, Derry (Former Grandive Fleamarket).  Call 603-965-3527 for more info.

Join exercise instructor Dawn Barnes! Dawn hopped on board with us January 21st, 2016 and we are excited and lucky to have her! Dawn comes to us with experience in a multitude  of disciplines! She has taught at many of the surrounding Senior Centers and those who have been coming to her class in Derry have had fantastic reviews! With over 40 people registered for her class we have started looking at adding additional days and times!
Dawn is currently teaching a Cardio/ Stretch class on Thursday’s from 10:30am– 11:30am at Veterans Hall, 31 West Broadway, Derry. Free Hearing Screenings
The 1st Wednesday of EACH month
Everyone should have the opportunity to hear the world around them. Find out what you’ve been missing! Free Hearing Screenings are held the first Wednesday of each month and include a screening and evaluation, hearing aid maintenance and cleaning, minor hearing aid repairs and doctor referrals. Free Tax Preparation
Free tax preparation assistance is available to low and middle-income individuals with special attention to those 60 and older earning under $100K. This service is available until February April 13th on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 10:00am-3:00pm at the Marion Gerrish Community Center.  No appointment is necessary. Friday May 26th at 12:00 pm The featured film is "Race to Witch Mountain". Friday June 30 at 12:00 pm The featured film is "Big Trouble in Little China". An all american trucker gets dragged into a centuries old-mystical battle in Chinatown.  Starring: Kurt Russell, Kim cattrail and Dennis Dunn.
Beginners come on down every Wednesday at 10:00am at Veteran’s Hall to try your hand at Line Dancing for beginners. You can also join in on the fun on Friday   at 10:00am for our intermediate class.  Classes are held at Veteran’s Hall,  31 West Broadway and taught by Sharon Dobbie.  The drop in fee is $3.00 for Derry Residents and $5.00 for Non-residents per class.
Rockingham Community Action partners with MedLine to provide affordable emergency response systems for aged and/or disabled individuals in order to ensure their safety and maintain their independence and quality of life. Through this partnership, RCA is able to provide the lowest cost PERS in Rockingham County. Contact your local Community Action Center for more information or to apply for a Personal Emergency Response System: The Derry Community Action Center, located at 9 Crystal Ave serves Derry, Londonderry, Auburn, Chester, Hampstead, and Sandown.

RSVP Bone Builders- Volunteers Needed!

Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Bone Builders is co-sponsored by RSVP and is excellent for building bone density, increasing muscular strength and balance, and preventing osteoporosis. Participants go through a series of weight training and balance exercises and must have a doctor's permission to attend.
We are currently looking for a few individuals to go through the training to become a volunteer instructor. This is an extremely popular program that requires a dedicated individual who is willing to teach two times a week.
