The Derry Fire Department’s Station 3, is located at 1 English Range Road on the corner of  Bypass 28. The Station 3 coverage area borders the towns of Londonderry, Auburn, and Chester. In an effort to minimize response times to this area, Station 3 was built in 2001 to meet the needs of the citizens in the north end of Derry. This former East Derry Fire Station 2 was renamed after the closing of Derry’s downtown Station 1 and the subsequent consolidation of the two departments.

Station 3 is cross-staffed with a crew of three, providing fire and emergency medical services at the paramedic level 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The crew operates Engine 3, Medic 3, or Forestry 3. Medic 3 is also the primary ambulance responding to Auburn for contracted service.

In addition to emergencies, Station 3 personnel regularly inspect local businesses, issue and enforce burning permits, respond to requests for public education at Ernest P. Barka Elementary School, and provide station tours upon request.
