Thomas Beaumont is the Captain of Station 1.  As the Central Station Captain, he oversees all facility maintenance and upkeep, budgeting as well as planning and implementing capital improvement projects for Station 1.  This station houses Engine 1, Medic 1, Rescue 1, Tanker 1, and Car 1-Battalion Chief.

Captain Beaumont began his career in the fire service in 2002 as a volunteer in the Town of Antrim. In 2006, he began his full-time career with the Plymouth (NH) Fire Department. He transferred down to the Derry Fire Department in 2012. In March of 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. In March of 2023, He was promoted to the rank of Captain. Captain Beaumont currently oversees the background investigations for applicants and works for The Division of Fire Prevention assisting with inspections and investigations.  

Captain Beaumont is currently the Vice President of Fire Officers in IAFF Local #4392. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Contoocook Housing Trust and advisory board for the New Hampshire Technical Institute Paramedic Emergency Medicine program.  

Captain Beaumont holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Plymouth State University, an associate degree in Paramedic Emergency Medicine from New Hampshire Technical Institute as well as various professional certifications and various technical rescue disciplines. He has received the Fire Officer Designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellence and has received his Fire Investigator Technician from the International Association of Arson Investigators.
